Meet the artists of Rising Moon Studio.

A mother/daughter artist duo. Theresa (mother) and Taylor's (daughter) artistic journey together started in a dark time in their lives when Theresa was diagnosed with breast cancer. Painting and drawing was the therapy they needed to get through that difficult time.

While this duo may have different styles and mediums, they are continuously inspired by one another, sharing subject matter, and pushing the aesthetic boundaries to grow as artists - together! Being able to create artwork together and attend these art fairs has been a dream come true for both mother & daughter.

    Taylor uses oil pens on paper for her black & white drawings which play with geometric and curvilinear lines to explore animals, nature, and the human form. Her biology degree is evident in her precision of lines and symmetry when it comes to animals. Her style is very clean and precise, although, because of Mom's artistic influence, she has started exploring a more organic, looser style of drawing. Taylor is a Certified Vet Nurse at an emergency specialty clinic in the Surgery service and has a BS in Biology, with a minor in Art. In her spare time, she enjoys creating art with her mom, Theresa, and attending art fairs.

    Theresa primarily uses acrylic. Her paintings can be described as a stylized medley of uplifting visual narratives. Her use of vibrant color and symbolism share an idealized representation of the human spirit and a symbiotic bond with nature. With a BA in Fine Art, Theresa is a versatile artist who excels in both painting and drawing and offers a plethora of inspirational visions. Most recently, she has started incorporating animals into her paintings - evidence of her daughter, Taylor's artistic influence. Theresa works at Abbott Labs as a Global Marketing Brand Designer and enjoys creating artwork alongside Taylor.
